Über weite Strecken des 20. Jahrhunderts lediglich als Auswanderungsland in Erscheinung getreten, hat sich Spanien in den letzten Jahren zu einem der weltweit attraktivsten Aufnahmeländer für Immigranten entwickelt. Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert aktuelle Entwicklungen und Tendenzen dieses Phänomens und untersucht dabei dessen Ursachen sowie die Auswirkungen auf die spanische Gesellschaft. RESUMEN (español) Siendo un país de emigración durante practicamente todo el siglo 20, España desde hace algunos años es uno de los países de inmigración más atractivos a nivel mundial. El presente trabajo examina los recientes evoluciones y tendencias de este fenómeno, tomando en cuenta sus motivos, así como los impactos para sociedad española.
