Hannah Arendt fue la pensadora más importante del siglo XX. Nació cerca de Hanover (Alemania) en el seno de una familia judía. Estudió la carrera de Filosofía. Con la llegada de Hitler al poder, decidió luchar contra el nacionalsocialismo. Escribió muchos libros y artículos y recibió múltiples reconocimientos. Su pensamiento, independiente y liberal, se centraba en defender que la libertad y la justicia son los principios básicos de la política. Hannah Arendt siempre será recordada como una mujer valiente que luchó por una sociedad más justa y libre.
