Sinopsis del Libro

La familia no puede reducirse a un "tema", una "cuestión", o una "moda". Influye en todas las realidades humanas primarias como el trabajo, educación, sanidad, alimentación, sexo, etc. Y es transversal a multitud de aspectos de la vivencia humana: las religiones, las ciencias, la política, la economía, la sociedad... Por todo ello, se afirma en verdad que la familia es la célula básica de la sociedad. Pero, como ha escrito el Papa Francisco, "la familia atraviesa una crisis cultural profunda" y el matrimonio "tiende a ser visto como una mera forma de gratificación afectiva que puede constituirse de cualquier manera y modificarse de acuerdo con la sensibilidad de cada uno". Es necesario redescubrir la familia, realizar un diagnóstico de sus carencias y enfermedades, y ofrecer propuestas de rehabilitación. Este es el objetivo de este libro y el de los trece expertos en diversas materias que firman sus capítulos. Como afirma en su prólogo monseñor Carlos Osoro -arzobispo de Madrid-, "Encontrar en un único volumen acercamientos tan complementarios a la problemática familiar, y de un modo que conjuga la sencillez en la exposición con la profundidad en los contenidos, resulta quizás la seña más característica de este libro y, espero, que su contribución más valiosa al sueño del Papa Francisco de una pastoral familiar renovada".
