Sinopsis del Libro

Mario Botta (1943 geboren) studierte in Venedig Architektur bei Carlo Scarpa und erffnete 1970 sein eigenes Bro in Lugano. Heute reicht seine Ttigkeit bis in die Vereinigten Staaten und den Fernen Osten. Weltberhmt geworden ist Mario Botta durch seine zahlreichen Villen im Tessin: khl-elegante Bauten, die, oft an exponierter Lage situiert, einen spannungsvollen Dialog mit der Landschaft aufnehmen. Es sind visuelle Gebilde von magischer Wirkung. Ebenso beachtet sind Bottas Kirchenbauten, ob es sich nun um kleine Kapellen in den Tessiner Bergen oder um die Kathedrale von Evry bei Paris handelt, sowie seine Museumsgebude (etwa das Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, das Tinguely Museum in Basel). Klare geometrische Grundformen, das Spiel von natrlichem Licht und Raum, die visuellen und haptischen Qualitten von Klinker und Natursteinen kennzeichnen Bottas Werke. Das vorliegende Studiopaperback dokumentiert das Gesamtschaffen Mario Bottas, einschlielich seiner Design-Entwrfe.

Catálogo de la exposición de la artista Eugènia Balcells acogida en el Laborator io del Arts Santa Mònica entre el 23 de septiembre y el 29 de noviembre de 2009. La muestra consta de tres ámbitos: Frecuencia, un homenaje a los elementos de l a tabla periódica constituyentes de la materia a través de su espectro lumínico; Rueda de color, estructura móvil de pantallas con proyecciones de materiales fí lmicos con colores, y Laberinto, escenas captadas por la autora en el laberinto de Horta de Barcelona.

El proyecto arquitectónico

El proposito central del trabajo es fundamentar la teoria y tecnica de la accion proyectual y su ensenanza, particularmente en las etapas iniciales de la carrera. Por ello, un primer objetivo de las tareas desarrolladas fue indagar sobre la experiencia en el taller de arquitectura, observando a sus actores, registrando actitudes, examinando y evaluando las multiples actuaciones que se desarrollan en este espacio de aprendizaje y un segundo objetivo fue aportar y sugerir posibles superaciones a las condiciones percibidas.
