The present edition publishes part of the research papers presented during the "Seminario de Investigación Arquitectura para la Producción" organized by the university of Michoacán between 2001 and 2002 that included the participation of national and international academics. Architectural guide to the city of Guadalajara, with a selection of close to 300 buildings representative of all time periods. The guide is divided in 3 sections: the first, the largest and medullar part of the book is the presentation of the buildings; a second section is an inventory of buildings important in the history of the city but now disappeared, and a third section includes location maps with recommended itineraries and routes. Each entry includes the name, date and brief history of the building and the name of the architect.
