Novela basada en un caso real ocurrido en 1995, en el Golfo de México. Concretamente en las cercanías de Ciudad del Carmen. El huracán llamado Roxana azotó las plataformas marinas de Petróleos Mexicanos. Un homenaje a aquellos hombres que, desgraciadamente, no sobrevivieron a ese fenómeno meteorológico. Y para los sobrevivientes una felicitación, porque tuvieron la dicha o desdicha de vivir una experiencia inolvidable a mar abierto.
