La nación soñada

Los ensayos incluidos en esta compilación (1939-1954) reflejan la faceta económica de Nieto Arteta (1913-1956), que en conjunto con su sensibilidad para el trato de los problemas históricos planteaban una visión para la historia de Colombia, en donde su preocupación giraba principalmente entorno, como se muestra en sus ensayos, del deterioro del comercio exterior de los países en vías de desarrollo, a consecuencia de la falta de reconversión tecnológica y el estado de la desprotección arancelaria, y de los temas de cooperación interamericana.

The author details her early years in Paris, where she was raised amidst diplomats, literary masters, and artists, and her return to her native Colombia, where, as a senator, she went up against the powerful drug cartels.
