The book is an historic and graphical account of the patios of "vecindad" (neighbourhood) in the port city of Veracruz, in a period that goes from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century. The foreword of this edition, states that the first record of a patio of a "vecindad" dates back to 1791, highlighting that those patios have seen the early years of musician and singer "Toña la Negra" and were the place of origin of the famous "picadas" from Veracruz, one of the most popular snacks of the jarocha traditional cuisine.

Visiting an exhibition by Leonardo Nierman is penetrating a space that invites us to dream in infinities, to discover exteriors and interiors of cosmic worlds. The exhibition Genesis de un Sueno (Genesis of a Dream) mounted at the Contemporary University Museum of Art in Mexico City conveyed such sensations to visitors.
