Sinopsis del Libro

La estética de la Baja Edad Media, de la mano de la escolástica, aporta a la metafísica de la proporción y a la metafísica de la luz un sistema conceptual. Ésta es, de hecho, la “primera sistematización” del vocabulario estético. La antigüedad había trabajado ciertos contenidos de este vocabulario, pero no había construido ningún sistema que garantizara un cierto rigor de uso. Será la Baja Edad Media, gracias al énfasis puesto en la obra aristotélica y especialmente en el “organon”, la que ofrecerá a la estética su primera sistematización conceptual que, además, constituirá la base del vocabulario del discurso estético de los siglos siguientes.
