Se trata de un estudio sobre la arquitectura militar de Galicia en la Edad Moderna, y es el fruto de una entusiasta entrega del autor hacia este tema, sólidamente documentado en los Archivos General de Simancas, Histórico Nacional, del Reino de Galicia, etc., sin olvidar la magnífica información que se custodia en los Servicios Geográfico e Histórico del Ejército.
