La obra se enmarca dentro de los resultados obtenidos en el Proyecto I+D (BHA2002-01649) llevado a cabo por investigadores y profesores del Departamento de Historia del Arte y Música de la Universidad de Granada y que tenía como objetivo abordar el análisis del pensamiento crítico en España en el conjunto de las artes plásticas y arquitectura desde sus precedentes en el romanticismo hasta la crisis que supone en el discurso artístico la Guerra Civil española de 1936.

The volume aims to convey an impression of the richness and fascination of Romance Philology and the infinite variety of the contours and contents of the field of Romance Studies. The author was less concerned with developing novel theoretical models, but rather wanted to trace the manifestations of the most important stages in the development of the subject area and – wherever possible – to complement them with his own contributions.

A review and documentation of the collections of the museum of contemporary art located in Santiago, Chile. The museum collection is considered the most important in engravings with 1000 prints along with 600 paintings, 130 drawings, sketches and watercolors and 80 sculptures from the late 19th century to current art.
