Sin embargo, fueron sus Rimas las que le aportaron mayor fama, ya que iniciaron la corriente romntica de poesa intimista inspirada en Heine y opuesta a la retrica y ampulosidad de poetas romnticos anteriores. Las Rimas han sido publicadas en numerosas ocasiones y su influencia en toda la poesa moderna ha sido definitiva. Las ms conocidas de ellas son El monte de las nimas, El rayo de luna y El beso.
