How much importance do we give to the settings in which we live, sleep and relax when we go travelling? Nowadays travel usually means spending time in hotels, and these establishments have set about specializing in order to satisfy the varied needs of their guests. In this book we have sought to open a window on today's highly innovative hotels by showcasing some particularly attractive examples from all over the world. All the hotels that we have gathered together are united by a quest for up-to-date design aimed at providing a welcome for business travelers or tourists.

This number of the monographic series is dedicated to restoration specialist, architect and watercolor painter Villa Chávez (b. Mexico). This extensive study of Villa Chávez life and architecture is divided in 2 parts: the first reviews his academic career and his professional practice in Guadalajara and Colima. A second part reviews in detail his restoration projects, his architecture, his open space interventions and his pictorial production (watercolors and drawings).
